League recap: Apache climbs in state rankings with win

Apache moved up to 175 from 204 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in A District 2. The Warriors were able to make the jump by beating Sayre 42-13.

Thomas-Fay-Custer extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Burns Flat-Dill City, 35-7. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Burns Flat-Dill City's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tony Dorman has thrown for 152 yards and one touchdown this season, while Justin Perez has seven catches for 105 yards. Michael People leads the league in rushing with 180 yards.

Two of the top units in A District 2 will face off this week when the Eagles take on the Eagles. Burns Flat-Dill City's offense has scored 20 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Sayre has allowed only 164 on the year.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Thomas-Fay-Custer takes on Apache. Bob Ward's team is in first place, while Larry Mcdaniel's team is in third place.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Terriers take on the Warriors. Thomas-Fay-Custer has allowed 35 points this season, while Apache has given up 33.

Hollis took down Cordell 50-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
