Basketball Recap: RA'toria PEARSON Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Quitman's strategy against South Jones on Thursday. The Panthers blew past the Braves 57-35. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won five in a row.

Quitman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was RA'TORIA PEARSON out in front who posted 14 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was SARIAH BINGHAM, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Quitman smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Quitman's record is now 2-0. As for South Jones, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Coming up, Quitman will venture away from home to face off against West Lauderdale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Jones, they will host Gulfport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
