Basketball Game Preview: Mynderse Academy Blue Devils vs. Waterloo Tigers

Mynderse Academy is 2-8 against Waterloo since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Mynderse Academy Blue Devils will welcome the Waterloo Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

Mynderse Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 60 points on Sunday, they were much more limited against Palmyra-Macedon on Friday. They took a hard 43-25 fall against the Red Raiders. The game marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waterloo). They claimed a resounding 83-45 victory over Penn Yan Academy. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 38 points or more this season.

Mynderse Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Waterloo, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Mynderse Academy took their win against Waterloo in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 67-41. Does Mynderse Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Waterloo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
