Basketball Game Preview: Marshall Rams vs. Harlan Hawks

The Marshall Rams will square off against the Harlan Hawks at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marshall has given up an average of 59.4 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Marshall is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Tuesday. They were dealt a 96-61 defeat at the hands of Sotomayor. The Rams were down 69-49 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Marshall's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Liam Curry, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 19 points and six assists, and Tayvion Nelson, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 16 boards. Curry continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Colt Johnson, who posted four points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Harlan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 46-41 victory over O'Connor on Tuesday.

Harlan's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Marshall, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
