This was a revenge  contest for South Pointe, as the team was forced to settle for  a  7-2 defeat when these two played  two weeks ago.
 They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of 
 Kailyn Kirsch and 
 Ava Passmore, who scored all three of South Pointe's goals.  The pair have combined for a total of 20 so far this season.
 South Pointe pushed their record up to 4-5 with that  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  scored 19  goals over those three  matchups. As for Spartanburg, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Pointe will take on York at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. South Pointe is strutting in with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 3.9  goals per game this season. As for Spartanburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against James F. Byrnes at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in South Carolina (Spartanburg is ranked 78th, while James F. Byrnes is ranked 94th).
