Basketball Game Preview: Coastal Christian Centurions vs. Grace Christian Crusaders

The Coastal Christian Centurions and the Grace Christian Crusaders will compete for holiday cheer at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-24, which was the final score in Coastal Christian's tilt against Hickory Grove Christian on Saturday. The Centurions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grace Christian). They blew past Living Water Christian 96-58 on Thursday. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Crusaders had established a 26 point advantage.

Grace Christian found their leader in sophomore Grant Jacques, who posted 26 points. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for Jacques. Another player making a difference was Nate Jones, who had 16 points.

Coastal Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Grace Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Coastal Christian against Grace Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2014, as the team secured a 78-27 win. Will Coastal Christian repeat their success, or does Grace Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
