Football Game Preview: Kamiak Knights vs. Mariner Marauders

The Kamiak Knights will challenge the Mariner Marauders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kamiak comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Friday, Kamiak came up short against Jackson and fell 21-14.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Jayden Harris and Tre Austin. Austin had a great game and rushed for 201 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries. Meanwhile, Harris was balling out in the loss, rushing for 191 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mariner). They came out on top against Lynnwood by a score of 26-14 on Friday. The Marauders haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Mariner's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Kamiak, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Kamiak against Mariner in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-0 victory. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Marauders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
