If Horse Creek Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Ridge Spring-Monetta, they should've done a better job of containing Kennedy Ligons. The Trojans took down the Stallions 44-29 on Friday with plenty of help from Ligons, who went 8-for-15 on her way to 16 points in addition to six boards and five steals. She is becoming a predictor of Ridge Spring-Monetta's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 4-1 (and 4-7 when she doesn't).

Taylah Leaphart was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Horse Creek Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Layla Sistare, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Karrington Simpkins, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

The victory got Ridge Spring-Monetta back to even at 8-8. As for Horse Creek Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Ridge Spring-Monetta has already played their next game, a 67-27 win against Calhoun County on the 20th. Horse Creek Academy has also already played their next contest (against Swansea), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
