Baseball Recap: Okeene Whippets vs. Ringwood Red Devils
Okeene was not able to break out of their rough patch in their first game on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Ringwood Red Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Okeene of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Bryer Roberts put in work no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Roberts was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing four bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Okeene's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Ringwood, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.
