Softball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

Rushville-Industry hit Seymour with a five-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockets. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost four in a row.

Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13-1. As for Rushville-Industry, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Seymour will face off against Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. Rushville-Industry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
