Volleyball Recap: Halls Comes Up Short

Halls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Clinton Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-20, 25-13.

Clinton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alaina Staudenmaier led the charge by getting nine digs and three aces. What's more, Staudenmaier racked up 18 assists, the most she's had over her last 15 games. Jailie Rodd was another key player, getting 15 digs.

Halls' loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Clinton, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Halls will host Eagleton College & Career Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clinton, they will be playing at home against William Blount at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
