Baseball Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 9-4 to the Kountze Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 13-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Kountze, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
