Baseball Recap: West Ranch Comes Up Short

West Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Aliso Niguel Wolverines.

West Ranch got a good showing from Preston Loren, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Loren a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, West Ranch saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Clayton, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

West Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Aliso Niguel, their record is now 9-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Ranch will square off against Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Aliso Niguel, they will host Tesoro at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight.
