Baseball Game Preview: Bedford Bulldogs vs. Mount Ayr Raiders

Bedford is on a 12-game streak of home wins, while Mount Ayr is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bulldogs will host the Raiders on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bedford 2.6, Mount Ayr 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Saturday. Bedford won by a run and slipped past Riverside 5-4.

Meanwhile, while Mount Ayr put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Sidney. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Cowboys. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Bedford is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Mount Ayr, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.

Bedford skirted past Mount Ayr 6-5 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
