Sotomayor proved they can win big last Monday (they won by five) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the Stevens Falcons 2-1. The WILDCATS' winning goal came courtesy of Kennedy Almeida.

Sotomayor's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Stevens, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Sotomayor will head out on the road to square off against Taft at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Taft's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Stevens, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Stevens take on the Harlan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harlan will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.
