Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Nevada Union's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Nevada Union lost to Sheldon last Saturday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Nevada Union walked away with a 2-0 victory over Sheldon.

Nevada Union's offense was headlined by Boone Hamilton and Wyatt Fowler, who picked up four kills apiece. They were helped by Kody Cornish and AJ Jennings, who contributed five assists each. Fowler was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Nevada Union is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Sheldon's loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Nevada Union wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Roseville on the 18th. As for Sheldon, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on the 25th. Sheldon is facing Franklin at the right time seeing as Franklin is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
