Soccer Recap: Gibson County Comes Up Short

Gibson County lost against Peabody two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pioneers fell just short of the Golden Tide by a score of 1-0. Drew Gordon was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Gibson County's loss dropped their record down to 6-8-2. As for Peabody, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-2.

Gibson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Peabody, they will challenge Madison at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Peabody's defense better be ready for this one: Madison have averaged an impressive 3.9 goals per game this season.
