Volleyball Recap: Poteet Triumphs

Poteet's tournament run continued when they took on Ponder on Saturday. The Pirates had just enough and edged out the Lions 2-1.

When it comes to explaining why Ponder lost, don't look at Rian Hughes. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and two assists. Makaylee Ruiz also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Poteet's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Ponder, their loss dropped their record down to 4-5.

Poteet has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 16th. As for Ponder, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Brewer on the 19th.
