After a string of nine wins dating back to last season, Mountain City Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wasilla Warriors. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Mountain City Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Keelie Kronberger, who went 9 of 22 on her way to 20 points. Another player making a difference was Morgan Maldonado, who posted six points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mountain City Christian Academy fell to 8-1. As for Wasilla, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
