Seymour is 7-1 against Northview Academy since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Seymour Eagles will take on the Northview Academy Cougars at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses dating back to last season for Seymour and four for Northview Academy dating back to last season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Monday. Seymour lost 13-2 to Westmoreland.

Seymour saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Schultz, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Northview Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Washburn on Monday, falling 18-10.

Abigail Doty led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in triples (two). Zoee Russell was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Northview Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Seymour was able to grind out a solid win over Northview Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 7-3. Does Seymour have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northview Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
