Recap: Lake Blue Streaks vs. GlenOak Golden Eagles

The Lake Blue Streaks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by GlenOak 78-47. Lake has not had much luck with GlenOak recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Leading GlenOak to victory were Ja'Corey Lipkins and Reese Zerger. Lipkins scored 20 points along with five steals, while Zerger almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Lipkins has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 16 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Mcelroy, who scored nine points along with five steals.

Lake dropped their record down to 3-16 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for GlenOak, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Lake will be playing at home against Washington at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Washington has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 215 points over their last three matches. GlenOak is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Alliance at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully GlenOak focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday.
