Softball Recap: Bay Path RVT Victorious

While Bay Path RVT's victory against Douglas wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Minutemen narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tigers 12-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Minutemen have posted since May 28, 2024.

Bay Path RVT got a massive performance out of Kalli Sheehan, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Sheehan's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Gonyea, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bay Path RVT kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Bay Path RVT's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Douglas, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Coming up, Bay Path RVT will venture away from home to square off against Assabet Valley RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Douglas, they will host Blackstone-Millville at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
