Softball Recap: Millennium Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pacheco on Thursday, Millennium came back down to earth. The Falcons came up short against the Ripon Indians on Thursday, falling 11-1. The match marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Millennium saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lanie Gonzalez, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Millennium has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season. As for Ripon, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Millennium will face off against Gustine at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The Reds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.53 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ripon, they will head out to square off against Pacheco at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
