Football Game Preview: Albany Lions vs. Muenster Hornets + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Clay Chapman and Casen Carney are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Albany Lions will face off against the Muenster Hornets on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Albany is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 35-15 margin over Quanah. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Shawn Keen had a dynamite game, picking up 84 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 31 yards and one touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 55 yards.

Meanwhile, Muenster blew past Wellington, posting a 63-21 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hornets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Skyrockets are ranked 383rd).

Albany better keep an eye on Carter Heller. He was instrumental in Muenster's win, rushing for 36 yards and a pair of scores.

Muenster's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Albany, their win bumped their record up to an identical 10-2.

Albany was taken down by Muenster 56-14 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
