Volleyball Game Preview: Clairemont Chieftains vs. Canyon Hills Rattlers + How To Watch

The Clairemont Chieftains will head out to take on the Canyon Hills Rattlers at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Wednesday, Clairemont didn't have quite enough to beat High Tech SD and fell 3-2. The Chieftains have struggled against the Storm recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Clairemont actually scored more points across those five sets (99-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 18-25, 25-21, 11-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Canyon Hills entered their contest against Mira Mesa on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rattlers fell 3-1 to the Marauders.

Canyon Hills started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-22.

Canyon Hills' loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-6. As for Clairemont, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-19.
