Softball Recap: Northgate Comes Up Short

New Brighton hit Northgate with a eight-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Flames lost 10-2 to the Lions. The Flames were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Northgate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Northgate will venture away from home to square off against Fort Cherry at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for New Brighton, they will head out to challenge Cornell at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
