Basketball Recap: Crawford County Comes Up Short

Crawford County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northeast Dubois Jeeps. The Wolfpack were probably out for revenge after losing 40-31 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Northeast Dubois got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lyllee Schnell out in front who posted nine points in addition to six boards and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Bella Cummins, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Crawford County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Northeast Dubois, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Crawford County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-26 loss against Corydon Central on the 30th. As for Northeast Dubois, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-37 victory against Vincennes Rivet on the 30th.
