Basketball Recap: Fort Elliott Takes a Loss

Fort Elliott lost against Booker back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fort Elliott Cougars took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Booker Kiowas. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Booker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julian Barton led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Barton is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Reydn Rosales was another key player, going 7 for 12 on his way to 14 points along with six boards and three steals.

Fort Elliott's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Booker, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Fort Elliott will welcome Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Booker, they will square off against Darrouzett at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
