Hudson entered their tilt with Fitchburg on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Blue Raiders a 9-0 shutout. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Hawks this season.

Braeden Murphy looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Anthony Moura was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Attaway, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Hudson pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Fitchburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Looking ahead, Hudson will square off against Nashoba Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hawks 3.5, the Wolves 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Fitchburg, they will challenge Groton-Dunstable at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
