Softball Recap: Henry Clay Takes a Loss

Henry Clay lost against Franklin County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Blue Devils lost 11-1 to the Flyers. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Henry Clay saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Elise Pearson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Henry Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Franklin County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Henry Clay will square off against Corbin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin County, they will challenge Frederick Douglass at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
