Basketball Game Preview: River Ridge Timberwolves vs. Argyle Orioles

The River Ridge Timberwolves will venture away from home to square off against the Argyle Orioles at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. River Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Argyle likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, River Ridge was fully in charge, breezing past Monticello 68-21. Fans of the Timberwolves have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Meanwhile, Argyle earned a 50-41 victory over Black Hawk on Monday. Given the Orioles' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Warriors are ranked 453rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

River Ridge's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.1 points. As for Argyle, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
