After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tipton-Rosemark Academy, Franklin County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over the Frankfort Panthers. Considering the Flyers have won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

R Landers was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Landers was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Franklin County let Avery Lofton and Carlie Olds run wild. Lofton went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Olds went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Olds a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lillie Pollard, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Franklin County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Frankfort only posted an OBP of .320.

Franklin County's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Frankfort, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Coming up, Franklin County will challenge Paul Laurence Dunbar at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Flyers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Frankfort, they will square off against Western Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
