Softball Recap: Wingate Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Wingate dropped their record down to 10-4 on Monday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the McCurdy Bobcats by a score of 8-7. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bobcats earlier this season, when they won 9-4.

As for McCurdy, their record is now 8-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since April 11th.

For McCurdy's part, the team relied heavily on Karina Archuleta, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wingate will head out to square off against Tohatchi at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for McCurdy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mora at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rangers/Rangerettes will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
