Soccer Game Preview: Mercersburg Academy vs. Phelps

The Mercersburg Academy Storm will take on the Phelps Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Phelps will be up against a hot Mercersburg Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Storm never let Hill School get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Saturday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Mercersburg Academy were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Phelps had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Spartans as they made off with a 6-0 win. Considering Phelps have won 14 matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Phelps' victory bumped their record up to 19-8-2. As for Mercersburg Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
