It was a good run, but Southern Choctaw unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Millry Wildcats by a score of 6-5. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 30-8.
Keri McGee made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases. Another player making a difference was Emerald Dunigan, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Southern Choctaw's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-7-1. As for Millry, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-7-1.
