North Surry won against Surry Central last Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Greyhounds' pitchers stepped up to hand the North Wilkes Vikings an 8-0 shutout. The Greyhounds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for North Surry and bumps their season record up to 8-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for North Wilkes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Surry will square off against rival East Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Wilkes is set to take on their familiar foe West Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
