Lockport won the last time they faced Lyons and things went their way on Friday too. The Porters came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions, sneaking past 3-1.

Trace Schaaf looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Drew Satunas was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Lockport's record now sits at 13-7. As for Lyons, they moved to 15-5 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Lockport and Lyons should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Porters (ranked 33rd) will meet Joliet West (ranked 158th) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lyons will take on Leyden at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (37 vs. 343).
