Rushville triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Keegan Bowles

Recap: Rushville Lions vs. Knightstown Panthers

The Rushville Lions won the last time they faced the Knightstown Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Rushville managed a 43-38 victory over Knightstown.

Keegan Bowles had an outrageously good game as he scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Quentin Cain was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Knightstown's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden McDaniel, who scored six points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Peyton Inman, who scored ten points.

Rushville's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-12. As for Knightstown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Rushville will look to defend their home court on Friday against South Dearborn at 7:30 p.m. South Dearborn is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Knightstown, they will head out on the road to face off against Oldenburg Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Oldenburg Academy is ranked 322nd, while Knightstown is ranked 298th).
