If Eustis was riding high fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Umatilla last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eustis Panthers took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Minneola Hawks on Thursday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Eustis saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Lucroy, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Derick Del Toro also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Eustis' defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Lake Minneola, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
