Softball Recap: Dundee Victorious

Dundee's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Hudson Tigers.

Lauren Doane spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kiernan Brown, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Abby Marek was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

The win got Dundee back to even at 3-3. As for Hudson, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dundee will host Bedford at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hudson, they will challenge Sand Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
