Baseball Recap: Benicia's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Benicia entered their tilt with Acalanes on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Dons by a score of 8-3. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Dons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Dominic Louro looked comfortable as he struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Peyton Rowles, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Colton Richardson, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Benicia's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Acalanes, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3-1.

Benicia will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
