Basketball Recap: Meigs Skates Past Vinton County with Ease

Meigs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Vinton County Vikings 78-41. Given the Marauders' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Vikings are ranked 520th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meigs pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Vinton County, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
