Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seffner Christian). They claimed a resounding 62-27 win over the Bartow Yellow Jackets. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 547th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Bartow saw an underclassman step up: freshman Natalia Diaz posted 16 points. The dominant performance gave Diaz a new career-high in points.

Seffner Christian's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.2 points per game. As for Bartow, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.

Seffner Christian has already played their next matchup, a 76-31 loss against Haines City on the 1st. As for Bartow, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-7 defeat against George Jenkins on the 28th.
