Basketball Recap: Perth Amboy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Perth Amboy can now relate to. They took a blow against the Piscataway Chiefs on Thursday, falling 69-38. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Chiefs are ranked 73rd).

Perth Amboy's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Piscataway, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

While Perth Amboy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
