Maplesville picks up seventh straight win at home

Recap: Maplesville Red Devils vs. Billingsley Bears

The Maplesville Red Devils entered their tilt with the Billingsley Bears with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Maplesville skirted past Billingsley 54-52. That's another feather in the cap for Maplesville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Maplesville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nehemiah McCary, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. McCary hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakobe Nix, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

Billingsley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Truesdale, who scored 17 points. It was the first time this season that Truesdale scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kyle Boice, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.

Maplesville pushed their record up to 12-6 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points per game. As for Billingsley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Maplesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Billingsley also has no future games currently scheduled.
