Baseball Recap: Schlarman Takes a Loss

Schlarman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman Buffaloes, falling 10-4. The Hilltoppers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffaloes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Miles Crosby made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Colton Kotcher, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Schlarman's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman, their win ended a ten-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Schlarman will take on rival Hoopeston at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman is set to challenge their familiar foe Watseka at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
