Recap: Pisgah vs. North Lincoln
After a string of five wins, Pisgah's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They have to be aching after a bruising 42-10 loss to North Lincoln. The lax defense was uncharacteristic for Pisgah, who until this game were averaging 11 points allowed.
senior Landon Beard went supernova for North Lincoln as he rushed for 186 yards and three TDs on 15 carries. Beard has now produced at least one touchdown in the past seven games. sophomore Ty Williams also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.
Pisgah's overall record now falls to 9-3. The win was the 12th in a row for North Lincoln and raised their record to 12-1.
Pisgah's playoff loss brings an end to their season. North Lincoln will go up against Burns in continuing playoff action next week. Burns has averaged 34.80 points over the course of their past five games, so the Knights might be in for a challenge.
