Softball Recap: BCLUW's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

BCLUW came tearing into Saturday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the AGWSR Cougars as they made off with a 9-2 win. Considering the Comets have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

BCLUW's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for AGWSR, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Looking ahead, BCLUW will head out on the road to take on Rockford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for AGWSR, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-5 defeat against Marshalltown on the 14th.
