King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Gregory-Portland Wildcats 63-14. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Johnny Long had a dynamite game for Gregory-Portland, rushing for 93 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those 93 rushing yards gave Long a new career-high. Carter Dominguez also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Gregory-Portland, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.
