Basketball Recap: Bayless Comes Up Short

Bayless entered their match against St. Paul Lutheran on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bayless Bronchos had to suffer through a 58-26 loss at the hands of the St. Paul Lutheran Giants. The Bronchos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooklyn Weibrecht continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Paul Lutheran, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, Weibrecht is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Welier, who posted 11 points along with five assists and three steals.

Bayless' loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-5. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
